Who We Are
Evangelical: The Gospel. The good news of our resurrected exalted Lord Jesus Christ. We are Christians. We Hold to a faith that is two centuries old. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Missional: The Culture. We Accept the call of Christ to live out our lives as missionaries amidst a culture that constantly tries to sell us a different purpose and a different vision in life. Missional means that we understand ourselves to be missionaries in today's culture. Missionaries are those whose lives are constituted by a mission: to know Him and make Him known - this is our purpose, our goal, and our end in life. An ongoing relationship with God should result in a lifestyle that is God-centered and Kingdom-minded and seeks to incarnate Christ.
Incarnational: The Church. We are here to exalt God and serve others. We believe we glorify the Father in relationally helping others help themselves. We seek compassion and justice to help the depraved and poorest people of the world overcome. We recognize that a relationship with Jesus, fair trade, debt relief, fighting corruption and directing additional resources for basic needs- education, health, clean water, food, and care for orphans- would transform the futures and hopes of an entire generation locally and globally.
